Archdiocese of St. Louis Fires 25 to Balance Budget, Sends Extra Money to Stop Equality in Maine

This year the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis in Missouri announced that its financial straits were so dire that it would be forced to fire 25 of its employees.

Also this year, the Archdiocese of St. Louis sent a $10,000.00 check to a Ballot Question Committee in Maine, to be spent convincing Mainers that they really wanted to outlaw same-sex marriage after all.

Money to maintain church operations at home? No. Money for an anti-gay political campaign 8 states away? Yes.

Priorities, priorities.
