Oil Drilling To Start Again Soon At Site Of Oil Spill Disaster

An inequitable aftermath of the offshore oil drilling disaster in the Timor Sea between Australia and Indonesia:

- The cleanup of the pollution from the oil spill will take 7 years to complete.
- PTTEP Australasia, the oil company responsible for the ten week long oil spill will begin drilling again in the same oil field in a matter of months.
- A PTTEP spokesperson says that his company knows what caused the oil spill, but won’t tell anyone else what that cause was.

    seven years to clean up?
    2009 plus seven is 2016?
    tom, isn’t that four years after the end?
    a day late and a dollar short if you ask me.
    maybe by the time it’s cleaned up someone will have realized there was a spill.

    Hey Ramone! Nah, we have a LOT more suffering to go through before “the end”. That’ll be long and dragged out, painful and chaotic – like cancer.
