Free Market Republicans? Stupak Amendment Vote Says NO.

Which is the party in America that just lets business be business without onerous, overbearing government regulation?

You think it’s the Republican Party? Think again.

The Stupak Amendment is an amendment against the free market, prohibiting health insurance companies from offering abortion coverage in a plan to anyone, even citizens who pay for the coverage themselves, if even just one single person gets even just a partial federal subsidy for that plan.

Except for one Republican who voted “present,” every single Republican who voted last night on the Stupak Amendment to the health care reform bill VOTED FOR IT. Not one Republican member of Congress voted against it.

Last night, the Republicans universally failed to support a free market. Chew on that if you’re a big free market proponent.

    It’s all about CONTROL now . . .

  2. Jacob says:

this is good. There shouldnt be a free market on killing other humans

  3. Nance says:

Oh, is abortion the ONLY industry that the democrats think needs NO CONTROL??? The Obama regime has issued control over every part of our industry, BUT abortion? Why has it remained the ONLTtotally unregulated industry – multi billion dollar industry, I might add, that they removed ALL restrictions from. And even through MORE money at.

The Republicans merely reinstated the refusal to finance death that had existed before. No one is saying you can’t get an abortion. (I do sincerely hope that this will come,) only that gov’t money won’t pay for it. (And yes, I am against the death penalty for anyone else, also.)

You want to keep things the way they were, and not have any insurance also from not covering it??

SIMPLE – DEFEAT THIS GOV’T HEALTH CARE!!! Then gov’t won’t pay, BUT one can still get insurance for it.

Nance, can you show me one person in Congress who is proposing NO regulation of abortion?

I think it’s mighty interesting that Republicans are now promoting government control of health care. If government interference is okay with abortion, why not with other medical procedures?
