Another View Of The Night

In the abstract, everyone with a basic education understands that the night is due to the rotation of our planet so that the side of the Earth that we’re on enters into shadow. For a concrete vision of this dynamic at work, however, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration provides us with a beautiful photograph of our planet turning from day into night.

    you know, i was out in the woods last week and i did hear a tree fall. i didn’t see it, but, i sure heard it. of course that’s not how the saying goes, because i was there, so i did hear it, had i not been there…
    you get the picture, or would you, had you not been there?
    get it? the picture?
