QS, who would you identify as a RINO? Really, how many Republican moderates are left - 2, 3, 4? Or, do you believe that every Republican has to be to the right of Mike Huckabee and Michele Bachmann?

People who don't believe that government is the solution to anything shouldn't try to join the government. Ethically, it makes most sense for them to go ahead and do the non-governmental work they SAY they believe in so much.

The truth is that people like Alan Nunnelee DO believe that government is powerful and effective, and that's why they want to join it. They USE the statement that government isn't an effective channel for solutions in order to justify government non-action on things that don't serve their selfish interests. That's the main point of this article - that politicians like Alan Nunnelee are being profoundly dishonest about their attitude toward government and the public interest.

For THAT reason, I don't think that voters should vote for politicians like Alan Nunnelee, and yes, I do think that anyone who runs for a government position on a platform of being anti-government is either an idiot or a crook.

You've perceived the inconsistency too, I can see.

By this logic, no one should ever vote for antigovernment conservatives but just RINO's.
