The last time the Senate Energy and Natural Resources got together for a hearing on the environment, we were treated to the spectacle of Senator Lisa Murkowski declaring offshore oil drilling to be “better than Disneyland” and Senator Mary Landrieu pulling mysteriously off-base oil spill figures out of her hat during questioning periods in which she never got around to asking a question.
Tomorrow at 10:00 AM, the same committee convenes for another hearing, this time on global warming mitigation policy (click here to find a live webcast). I can’t tell you for sure what we’ll see, but if the past is any guide, it certainly will be colorful.
