Graphic: Pro-War Astroturf Propaganda Operation Distilled

This morning I distilled the relationships between the partisan Democrat and pro-military establishment organizations that put together a conference call to tell American progressives that they’d better support Obama’s escalation of war if they know what’s good for them. That distillation came down to 1700 words. Whew. Perhaps we need another distillation.

The following is a sociogram summarizing the links between the five DC beltway organizations behind that pro-war conference call (in pink), partisan affiliations of those organizations with Democratic administrations and conservative Democrats in Congress, and membership overlaps between those organizations and other organizations that are part of the pro-war military and foreign policy establishment.

Sociogram describing relations between organizations involved in a December 2, 2009 pro-war conference call, partisan Democratic Party groups, and organizations of the military-foreign policy establishment.

Then there’s you down at the bottom. Are you listening?

Get the details here and here.

  1. Tom says:

Yeah, all those groups should volunteer to go over there and actually fight the fuckin’ war if they feel so good about it – that would change their tune in short order. Lying scum lobbiest muthafuckers.

  2. qs says:

    You made that thing?

I don’t even know what half those groups are. The ones I have heard of, all I know is their name basically.

    • Jim says:

Yep. It’s a distillation of the affiliation information from yesterday’s text post.

It’s not your ordained role to know what any of those groups are; you’re just supposed to be a consumer of the message that they put out through reports to the news media and pundit placements: war is GOOD for you!
