It is a time of fear in the face of freedom, a time of barricaded roads and new paths. Second BP Pipeline Oil Leak In One Week

I relayed the news, three days ago, of a spill of what turned out to be 7,000 gallons of petroleum mixed with water from a British Petroleum pipeline near Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay. Today, BP has revealed that another one of its pipelines in Alaska has sprung a separate leak.

Those who like to tell us about how oil spills are rare, and how people don’t need to worry about drilling-related pollution taking place in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, need to explain how this week’s events fit with their assertions.
