   It’s a representation of how low the true qualifications of the clergy are.

   That, and why shouldn’t anyone who has gone through appropriate training, akin to that of a Notary Public, be allowed to marry people?

       Indeed. The Catholic Church, on the other hand, charges money for casting out demons.

   I like the Flying Spaghetti Monster Church idea. It has a really nice ring.

   The ULC though is a way for people to become ordained to do weddings or to follow their own spiritual path. There are those who will abuse it, but that’s true of anything. I believe in training people as much as possible. No guarantee that they’ve been trained, but at least the opportunity is there.
