Endangered Pavement?

There are organizations dedicated to the protection of endangered species of living things. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the Center for Biological Diversity spring to mind as examples.

There are other forces, however, that apply force in the opposite direction. I found, among these, one that’s organized with a particular degree of chutzpah: FP2, formerly the Foundation for the Preservation of Pavement, but reorganized so that it can spend money on lobbying members of Congress through the firm Williams & Jensen.

What kind of people make this Preservation of Pavement movement possible? The equivalent of wildlife enthusiasts? No, the people behind FP2 Inc. are primarily enthusiastic about profits. They include the President of FP2, J. Baxter Burns the Second, who sits as a Vice President of Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions. Other supporters include the International Slurry Surfacing Association and the International Grinding and Grooving Association.

As a single guy, I would like to know more about this “International Grinding and Grooving Association.” Sounds like a good time.

FP2 sounds like a lubricant used by the international grinding and grooving association.
