Memo to congressional staffers: Check the expressions on the faces in the crowd before you post a photograph on your boss’s official web site.
Anyone care to caption this photograph of Blue Dog Congressman Patrick Murphy explaining to assembled workers how they’re going to benefit from tax credits given to their company’s management?
The tallest guy is about to blurt out “BULLSHIT!” The guy to his right doesn’t trust this politician or anything he says, by his facial expression, while the man with the open layered jackets isn’t buying it either and just wants to know if he’ll still have a job come May. The woman with the blue hat has heard it all before and wants to know who dressed this idiot with the clown tie. Notice also that the politician is much younger than his constituents and “is still wet behind the ears” to most of them.
“Did we earn our bonus yet?”
Five, five times in the last 5 minutes I have called myself a fiscal conservative, Bluedog! If I say it enough I think people will believe it.
