USAToday said MySpace users,
“who are into games music and movies,”
will come back if offered new amusers
with snippets that give us enough to tease.
Gawking eyes will ensure advertising,
allowing News Corp. to profit apace.
Free from content that is too incising,
its book will be judged fairly on its face.
But if we are just fans of MySpace pages,
will we create anything for ourselves,
or wait on the wings of others’ stages
and browse there through the books on others’ shelves?
Unsatisfied with space that entertains,
we can find a place in our own domains.
