Ramone, the health care storyline has come so unraveled, it’s not really worth much writing about, in my opinion. A particular survey about health care reform has a much better storyline, however, and so a story about that is coming right up.

there are legitimate concerns from the right as well, but, i’m not jumping on the rah-rah “we hope obama fails” bandwagon. i know you prefer irregular storylines and this health care bill and the drama surrounding “parliamentory procedures” could use some irregular perspectives.

Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander and allies are rolling that out. It's "trueish": one provision would raise student loan interest rates under one provision if private banks wanted to lend because banks charge more interest than the federal government... what Lamar Alexander ignores is the many tens of billions saved on other provisions in student loans to offer additional federal student loans so that students wouldn't need to borrow privately. So it's true like it's true that I have only one eye... on the left side of my face.

I over heard today that Government Healthcare would negitivly impact Government backed student loans. Doesnt seem to make sense but I figured I would askl if any of you knew anything about this. Surly this is just a crazy rumor with no base in fact? I dont see anything on it

1. None of us is going to live forever, period.
2. Health care reform is getting plenty of mainstream media coverage. ENDA? Not so much.
3. I think there are some legitimate concerns about this plan and problems with it from a liberal point of view. I’m not ready to jump on the gung-ho rah-rah bandwagon because MoveOn tells me to.

jim, what? not one word about the health care reform bill? can we even get a watered down reform passed? are you with maintaining the status quo? this has been an enormous battle and to walk away with nothing now will mean the end of any chance for health care, probably in my lifetime. maybe, younger people have a different take, like “i’m going to live forever”. news flsh: not without health care.

And yet, I’m sure she gets misty-eyed when she listens to Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech or reminisces about her days working with Harvey Milk. Does she realize that when it comes to civil rights, the only differences between her and Bull Connor are dogs and fire hoses? The ONLY differences. Think about it, Pelosi.
