The following movie, acquired by Wikileaks, shows American soldiers killing at least a dozen people in Iraq, almost all of them unarmed, and none of them at all in an aggressive posture. Two children were also wounded in the incident.
This video has only come to light because two of the civilians killed by the U.S. military were journalists working for Reuters.
“Let me know when you’ve got them. Let’s shoot.”
“Light ‘em all up. Come on, fire!”
Questions in light of this video:
- Why was the video classified by the U.S. military?
- Why did the U.S. military claim that the people shown in this video were insurgents?
- How many other videos of American soldiers killing civilians in Iraq exist?
- How many other supposed insurgents the U.S. military claims to have killed were civilians like these?
- What are Barack Obama and Secretary of Defense going to do in response to this revelation?
The video is also available on Collateral Murder.
i thought about this all day and still don’t know what to make of it. all i can say is war is always going to produce unintentional loss of live and it is sickening to watch soldiers make mistakes that cause innocent peoples death. i don’t want to think about this in terms of cover-up or blame or what could have or what should have. it’s tragically sad and it happens in war.
stop war now!
Watch this. No guns, no RPG’s, no insurgents, and the rules of engagement were violated too.

Actually wait a minute…..

Look at this now. This shows some RPG’s.
Now that would be cause for engagement for at least the first attack if those photos are legit.
