That’s what the Southern Republican Leadership Conference straw poll vote result means. Both Ron Paul and Mitt Romney were buying straw poll registrations and distributing them to their supporters, and only those who shelled out hundreds for SRLC registration could vote.
Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are hungry enough to be president to lay down cash. Does the SRLC straw poll result mean anything else?
Shine over substance does not add up to integrity which is something neither Romney nor Paul seem to care enough about. More’s the pity for them. Trust has never been more important to the electorate. Look for Palin’s credibility to carry her in 2012 should she choose to run.

Sure. Palin has lots of good qualities. In fact she has all of the good qualities of my dog…except for her loyalty. OK I’ll be specific. Palin chose not to have an abortion when she got pregnant as a single lady of 25 and instead did the honorable thing and got married. Not only that but when her daughter got into exactly the same trouble at 16, Palin passed on her honorable moral character on to her daughter. And while her daughter did not get married, she set a wonderful example for all the single mothers out there who get pregnant out of wedlock and opted to have the baby and keep it. This in spite of the fact that the poor daughter will probably have to struggle financially for years.
Bob, that’s all strictly personal. How do these items give Palin more credibility to take on the most powerful political job in the world than her Republican rivals have?
There is absolutely nothing that qualifies Palin to lead this nation. She only appeals to the ignorant. Bush set the standard and Palin complements his arrogance and stupidity. If it weren’t for the corporate fascist media and their all Palin/tea party, all the time, we wouldn’t even be talking about them. The republican party will be a non starter until we forget how destructive they’ve been to the middle class.

George Bush bussed in thousands to the Iowa Straw poll in 2000 after making extensive lists of his supporters and courting them for MONTHS. He gave barbeque and tchotchkes and t-shirts.
He won, and he gained unstoppable momentum to the presidency.
That’s how politics work.

Welcome to corporate fascism. Where the constitution has been misinterpreted to give unwielding power to big money and stripped it from the people. Where 91% of the media is owned by the wealthy to turn all they can against a country for and by the people. Where minor issues are made to be front and center stage to take your minds off of what is really important. A strong economy and middle class. It is good that a majority realizes it and sad that they even exist. This is supposed to be a democracy. That’s when the losers take a back seat and respect the majority. With all the liars in the media, it’s hard to distinguish a majority when the minority gets all the air time. CNN = Fox for those with an IQ over 90.

The liberal media has been a myth since the loss of the fairness doctrine. Proven to be 91% owned by the right and all run by the same 288 board members. CNN has about 90% republicans as hosts. Blitzer, velshi, Gupta, Anderson, Crowley… Lemon and Sanchez seem to be the only voices of reality and reason. The others craftily shape the stories to shape your opinion. New study out shows 91% of media is right wing compared to 9% left. No one ever proves the left to be making up things while the right does it all the time. This is corporate fascism in full bloom.
