Prahlad Jani of India, on a fast with a news blackout after Day 6On April 28, 2010, the London Daily Telegraph posted a news story about an experiment involving the self-proclaimed “breatharian” Prahlad Jani. He says he hasn’t had any food or drink in 70 years. The Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences in India’s Defence Research Development Organisation began an experiment on April 22 in which Prahlad Jani is to be monitored without food or drink for a 15 day period to verify his claims.

Having gone through six days verified without food or water, Prahlad Jani remained healthy. But six days of fasting is within normal human limits.

Today is Day 11 of the experiment. There has been no news since Day 6. No news from mainstream media sources, no news from the blogosphere, no news from the Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences.

What’s happening to Prahlad Jani?
