Don’t Drive the Car to the Local BP Protest June 12

Ross L. has posted a list of some of the anti-drill, anti-spill, anti-BP protests taking place around the nation and the world on June 12. This is a mirror of the list that’s apparently on Facebook (can someone post a copy of the list in the comments here?).

If you’re going to go, I don’t think it would be too much to ask that you not drive yourself alone in your car to the event. Try carpooling, or biking, or taking the train or the bus, or even just walking. A protest of oil drilling that relies on oil drilling would kind of be beside the point, right?

That’s me! It’s a mirror of the list on facebook, plus a few other websites to look up long lists of protests, and a few events that weren’t on any other list.

For one of my events, I’m taking the bus. For one, I’m biking. For each, I’m getting a few friends to go with me, no matter what the transport.

Oh, and I listed a bunch more protests than just the ones on June 12 in my post.
