June 2010 Was the 8th Hottest in the USA

Tonight, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) releases data for its National Climate summary of last month, June 2010. For the continental United States as a whole, June 2010 was the 8th hottest June out of 116 years of recorded temperatures for that month. Only 2 states out of the lower 48 (Washington and Oregon) saw temperatures below normal. No states faced June temperatures among the 10 coldest for the 116 years of available temperature records. No states set a record low in temperature for June. 34 out of the lower 48 states saw temperatures above normal. 25 states faced June temperatures among the 10 warmest for the 116 years of available temperature records. 3 states — New Jersey, North Carolina and Delaware — saw record high temperatures for June.

    Well, eventually this over-heating results in another ice age, but humanity won’t be around for that (at the rate we’re going).
