I want my president to talk like Bernie Sanders.
Guess what? It’s not about what you want! (or me either, for that matter) It’s only about doing what’s best for the top 1%, the “powers that be,” the political insiders, the big campaign donors, and corporate America. We the people no longer count for spit. We’ve been devolving towards this since Eisenhower and now our country has become a wreck, a hollowed out shell of its former self, with a burgeoning homeless population, rampant fraud, a crooked government and abusive police (and homeland security). We have insolvent banks, frozen wages at service oriented jobs, unaffordable healthcare, schools that produce mediocrity at best, and we claim to be a Christian nation but we don’t act like it at all. Democracy has vanished and been replaced with oligarchy, we’re using funny money to keep the lights on, and we’re still involved in meaningless wars for the oil companies.
It sucks here but it’s much worse in some other places, so i guess we still have a way to go.
