Census 2010 and Congress: Winners and Losers

The core results of the 2010 Census were released today. They have profound results for congressional politics, given that the U.S. House is seated based on the population of the 50 states.

In the 2010 Census reapportionment of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, Texas will gain 4 seats. Florida will gain 2 seats. New York and Ohio will lose 2 seats each.

Which other states gained or lost a seat? Check the list of census winners and losers over at That’s My Congress, and for more information, see the data release by the U.S. Census Bureau.
