Jobs And Conservation From Alabama Environmental Council

Times are hard right now. A lot of people have been out of work for a long, long time.

The Alabama Environmental Council is doing its part to make things a bit better. Centered down in Birmingham, the council is creating a job for a Recycling Coordinator in the area. An undergraduate degree in an area related to the environment is required.

The AEC is also working to reduce economic and ecological inefficiency in the Alabama water infrastructure. They’re helping people install rain barrels along the side of their houses, to reduce demand for municipal water and increase water storage that can be used in time of drought.

The Alabama Environmental Council is just one example of the way that environmentalism is creating economic opportunity and cutting waste, serving as an engine of sustainable economic growth, rather than being the drag that corporate public relations claims it to be.

BRAVO! Now THAT’s the kind of forward thinking (even from ALABAMA) that Obummer should be employing, but isn’t.
