House of Representatives To Vote On Continuing Afghanistan War

Last night, Peregrin Wood noted the incisive speech given by Dennis Kucinich about the long history of reports that progress is being made in Afghanistan. Progress hasn’t been made. Stalemate has been achieved, as we’ve discovered that the U.S. military is a poor tool for changing political interests and national culture.

A related development to watch for today is the vote in the House of Representatives on House Concurrent Resolution 28, legislation that would require the end of the war in Afghanistan by the end of this year.
