Rescue After White Shark Jumps Into Research Boat

Off the coast of South Africa, a great white shark leaped from the water into a biological research boat, and stayed there for an entire hour before a rescue could be started.

The rescue was of the shark. Crew members on the boat stuck a hose into the shark’s mouth so that it could breathe, and eventually were assisted in pulling the shark off the boat. The shark was still disoriented, so it ended up swimming up onto a nearby shore. So, a scientist pulled the shark back into the water and walked it back out to sea.
