Weather isn’t climate. I get that – but this year is just one of many recently that have been extraordinarily warm. The mint in my garden is still growing. I have poppy seeds that I sowed in October that have sprouted and are now an inch high. The moss is still growing on the trees in the woods, full and lush like it usually is in springtime.
It’s warm. It’s mid-December now, and I’m still taking my kids to and from school in a trailer hooked up to the back of my bicycle. If I were fastidious about such things, I’d be out mowing my lawn right now.
Something big has changed.

Had our first snow in Memphis, TN after a couple tentative cold snaps. I will continue to be more sad than surprised when we have more years that come in as “top 10 warmest ever.”

Luckily I was able to guess the point of that one from the URL. Great idea
I’m in Massachusetts. My marigolds are still blooming. My neighbor asked me yesterday evening if she could take the rest of the green tomatoes from my vines before the frost comes.
Held off planting my garlic until December to avoid premature sprouting (I hope).
