It’s Occupy Congress Media Coverage Noun Substitution Time

Reuters reports on Occupy Congress:

After a morning rally on the Capitol’s West Lawn, protesters who had come from as far as Nevada and San Diego attempted to enter the Capitol and congressional office buildings.

Let’s change one plural noun and restate that:

After a morning rally on the Capitol’s West Lawn, citizens who had come from as far as Nevada and San Diego attempted to enter the Capitol and congressional office buildings.

How dare they.
