The Twisted Blade Of Nuclear Aggression

March 7th, 2013 | Posted by jclifford in War and Peace

The government of North Korea has threatened to use what it refers to as its “right to pre-emptive nuclear attack against the headquarters of the aggressor” – the aggressor being the United States of America.

Why would North Korea do such a crazy thing?

Well, the North Koreans claim that the “United States is about to ignite a nuclear war.”

Who could believe that the United States would ignite a nuclear war?

Well, the United States is the only nation ever to use nuclear weapons. The United States destroyed two civilian cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with its first generation of nuclear weapons. The United States government invented nuclear weapons in the first place. The United States has had nuclear weapons aimed at North Korea, and ready to be released, for decades. The United States gained its global dominance through the threat of nuclear warfare against the other nations of the earth.

What’s more, President Barack Obama claims the same right of pre-emptive nuclear attack that the government of North Korea has asserted.

Is the government of North Korea insane to be playing games with threats of nuclear attack? Yes, but by the same standard, the government of the United States of America is insane.

Here in the United States, unlike in North Korea, our federal government is established and maintained through democratic elections. The American people have, for generations, endorsed the policy of nuclear brinksmanship.

Until we stand up and demand that our government disarm its nuclear arsenal and stop threatening the rest of the world with pre-emptive nuclear attack, we Americans all share in the nuclear insanity being exhibited by the government of North Korea.

  • Some dictators try to maitain an artificial unity in their country by mobilizing public opinion against an ennemy, and they need to create that enemy when there is none… It distracts their people from the bad situation prevailing in their own country. North Korea is a good example of that logic.
