Occupy Wall Street Protests Against The NDAA
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/zuccottijanuary.jpg
Today, Occupy Wall Street took part in nationwide protests against the National Defense Authorization Act, a new law that allows the federal government to grab people within U.S. borders, and imprison them for as long as it wants, regardless of whether they are American citizens or not, without criminal charge or trial.
Occupii Membership Steadily Growing and Decentralized
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/occupiimembership01102012.png
It’s been about two weeks since Occupii.org, the new social network site for the Occupy movement, got kick started. A look at membership trends suggests that overall membership is steadily growing, and that it’s decentralized. Most people are not joining …

Day Of Action Against Torture And Injustice This Wednesday
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/powusa.jpg
A protest this Wednesday, organized in cooperation with Witness Against Torture, will form a human chain stretching between the White House and the U.S. Capitol, with the simple message that the right to due process and a fair trial, promised in our nation’s Constitution, must be restored.

Occupy Magick
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/occupymagick.jpg
The moderator of the Magicians Alliance on Occupii is among those practitioners who hold to the model of moral dualism. The rejection of the Left is not a refusal to admit liberals, but an admonition for those who intend to apply the esoteric arts for the benefit of the Occupy movement to do so with an ethical framework in place.

In the waning months of 2011, two social movements claimed to erupt on college campuses across the nation. On September 23 2011, the privatized-presidential-nomination 501c4 corporation called Americans Elect declared that it had “Americans Elect Campus Leaders” on 103 college …

http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/occupycaucusesronpaul.jpg
Yesterday in Iowa, people protested Ron Paul’s opposition to environmental protections. Ron Paul wants to eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency, and destroy laws the prevent massive pollution in American communities. “We need clean air and water, don’t dismantle the EPA,” said the protesters.

Occupy The Caucuses Will Not Target Voting
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/occupywfdesmoines.jpg
This photograph of the Occupy The Caucuses protest at Wells Fargo in Des Moines linked one particular presidential candidate to the bailout bank, referring to Mitt Fargo – as Mitt Romney opposes accountability for Wall Street firms, and has taken direct donations from Wells Fargo employees, recycled bailout money in his campaign coffers. Before the group of protesters shut down the Wells Fargo branch, they demonstrated at Mitt Romney’s office, where some of the Occupy protesters were arrested. One carried a sign reading, “Mitt, what does the $2 million + you got from Wall Street banks buy?”

Obama Is Worse Than Bush On Rule Of Law, Says Rocky Anderson
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/realchangethistime.jpg
Rocky Anderson reminds me that Obama’s troubling disregard for America’s constitutional rights was made quite clear during the 2008 presidential election. We spent a great deal of time here at Irregular Times during the summer and autumn of 2008 discussing Barack Obama’s support for the terrible FISA Amendments Act – a law that gave immunity to telecommunications corporations for breaking federal law by providing government spies with information about millions of Americans’ private communications data.

More Americans Arrested In Nationwide Protests Against Obama’s Arbitrary Imprisonment Law
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/ndaawhitehouseprotest.jpg
The protesters outside the White House weren’t being violent. They didn’t attempt to climb over the fence that separates President Obama from the rest of America. They were only arrested for getting “too close”, thrown into jail for daring to engage in a political protest in a public plaza.
