http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/requestforwaiveroccupyithaca-300x246.jpg
Among the Facebook accounts associated with the Occupy Ithaca movement, someone’s had it with the tactics of the government officials of Ithaca, New York. When the occupation of Ithaca began, city representatives persistently asked Occupy Ithaca to file for a …

Obama Is Worse Than Bush On Rule Of Law, Says Rocky Anderson
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/realchangethistime.jpg
Rocky Anderson reminds me that Obama’s troubling disregard for America’s constitutional rights was made quite clear during the 2008 presidential election. We spent a great deal of time here at Irregular Times during the summer and autumn of 2008 discussing Barack Obama’s support for the terrible FISA Amendments Act – a law that gave immunity to telecommunications corporations for breaking federal law by providing government spies with information about millions of Americans’ private communications data.

More Americans Arrested In Nationwide Protests Against Obama’s Arbitrary Imprisonment Law
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/ndaawhitehouseprotest.jpg
The protesters outside the White House weren’t being violent. They didn’t attempt to climb over the fence that separates President Obama from the rest of America. They were only arrested for getting “too close”, thrown into jail for daring to engage in a political protest in a public plaza.

Mitt Romney Breaks Promise To New Hampshire Voter About Protecting Freedom
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/mittromneysayno.jpg
Nine days ago, Mitt Romney promised a New Hampshire voter to make a statement about the National Defense Authorization Act on his campaign web site. Mitt Romney hasn’t kept his promise. There is absolutely no mention of the National Defense Authorization Act on Mitt Romney’s campaign web site. Romney lied to that New Hampshire voter.

Protests Against Obama Policy Of Imprisonment of Americans Without Trial
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/ndaaprotests.jpg
The Director of the Iowa Democratic Party, Norm Sterzenbach, seemed to think that liberal dissent against the Democratic Party, and not the creation of extreme unconstitutional powers of imprisonment, was the problem. Do they really not understand that Democratic voters are leaving the Democratic Party because Obama and the congressional Democrats are repeating the terrible mistakes of George W. Bush?

Indefinite Imprisonment Roll Call of Shame: Only Sanders, 6 Democrats and 6 GOP Stand Up
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/daashame.jpg
This article contains the roll call of shame – U.S. Senators who voted in favor of legislation granting the federal government the power to imprison Americans without criminal charge and without trial. Every single one of these senators deserves to be thrown out of office in their next election. Nothing in the United States of America, not party loyalty or ideology, is more important than the fundamental right to be free of the fear that police can imprison a person without trial.

Senate: If we don’t imprison people forever without charge, we’ll have to tell them what their rights are

Consequences for Senate Democrats Who Voted To Trash Constitutional Liberty Yesterday
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/imprisonment.jpg
The following seven Democrats are among those who voted against the Udall amendment yesterday. They are all up for re-election in 2012. Americans who believe that liberty is worth keeping, and that imprisonment of people without criminal charge is wrong, should withhold their support from these Democrats’ campaigns.
Senate Votes To Let Americans Be Thrown In Prison Without Criminal Charge

Mark Udall had offered an amendment to remove this extreme and unconstitutional expansion of police powers, but the Senate voted to reject the amendment, with Democrats joining Republicans to oppose the preservation of liberty.

Four Senators Push For Secret Interrogation Methods Beyond Army Field Manual Tactics
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/ayotte1068.jpg
Secret interrogations methods encourage torture. We don’t need more government secrecy. We need less of it. Senate Amendment 1068, if passed, will take the United States of America in the wrong direction… and so we’ll be paying special attention to those senators who go along with its dangerous scheme.

Timothy McVeigh Succeeded
http://irregulartimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/freedomthumb.jpg
The Big Brother spying laws that Newt Gingrich defends have disabled this constitutional protection, creating a law enforcement system that has more in common with that of the Soviet Union than what the authors of the Bill of Rights had in mind. Americans who support the Bill of Rights must take a stand against Newt Gingrich.
