Then, the reality of the Obama presidency began to sink in. Barack Obama wasn't progressive, it turned out. He didn't take American in a different direction from the course set by George W. Bush. He chose to ignore the war crimes of the past, and to continue the policies that set them in motion. He abandoned climate legislation. He offered health care reform that helped the insurance companies, not the American people. He pandered to Big Coal and Big Oil. He refused to support the separation of church and state. He continued Bush's terrible record on endangered species. He gave big bailouts to Wall Street, but left working America without the help we needed. Over and over again, Barack Obama caved in to Republicans, giving them just what they wanted.

It's clear now to us: Barack Obama can't be the President we thought he would be. Barack Obama has turned his back on liberal Americans, and so, in 2012, it's time for us to return the favor.

We have an alternative presidential candidate: We have Rocky Anderson.

Rocky Anderson is an effective leader, the former mayor of Salt Lake City. Unlike Barack Obama, who's administration helped organize the police crackdowns against occupation protests, Rocky Anderson supported Occupy Wall Street and the hundreds of similar protests against economic inequality across America.

Rocky Anderson has international experience as the head of a human rights group. He's got executive experience, too. Most importantly, Rocky Anderson has experience with taking to the streets in protest when there's a time of need. Anderson was the only mayor of any major American city to stand up and speak the truth, that George W. Bush should be impeached.

Rocky Anderson supports full marriage equality for gays and lesbians. He supports an end to war, and a reduction in American militarism. Unlike Obama, he's pledged not to take any corporate money for his 2012 presidential campaign.

Rocky Anderson left the Democratic Party when the Democratic Party left its progressive principles behind. Now, he's the Justice Party candidate for President.
