The St. Joseph Catholic Secondary School in Cornwall, Ontario has banned rainbows out of fear that rainbows could encourage students to become gay. The school also took money from an unofficial student group seeking to fund a GLBT support line, and gave the money to a Catholic organization instead.
It’s an insult to the rest of the village for one group to expect everyone else to put their lives on hold, sacrificing their own identity for the sake of ancient ideas that aren’t adapting to the times.
