We’ve spent a little bit of time deriding the absurdity of Harold Camping’s counterfactual prediction that world would incontrovertibly end in Spring 2011, his later insistence in the world would really really end in October 2011, and his consistent call for money to maintain his “soul-saving” operation throughout. It all was rather silly.
In yesterday’s mail:
Harold Camping’s Family Radio Network is forgetting those things which are behind. Never mind the March 2011 end of the world. Never mind the other end of the world in October 2011. Camping’s camp is reaching forward for those donations that lie before them, pressing toward this month’s fundraising goals. To [...]
When the world was coming to an end on May 21st of this year, all the world’s news media corporations spread the word and wrote stories about the impending doom.
But now that it’s October 21 and Harold Camping has again predicted the end of the world today, nobody’s paying attention?
What’s that? It’s unsystematic, [...]
The media isn’t paying as much attention this time around, but Harold Camping is back, predicting The End Of The World on October 21, just nine days from now:
We have also learned that God is still teaching that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked and will not punish the wicked [...]
On May 21, 2011, the worldwide earthquake and mass disinterment of corpses predicted by Christian leader Harold Camping failed to materialize. No worries for Camping and the nationwide proselytizing organization he leads: Camping has simply replaced his old familyradio.com website with a new version, containing no reference to the non-apocalypse May 21. Whee! Down the [...]
May 21 2011 has come and gone, and despite the predictions of Christian preacher Harold Camping on his nationally broadcast Family Radio programs, there has been no Judgment Day. No earthquake bigger than mankind has ever seen. No billions of dead bodies spit out of the earth and onto the ground.
Christian media outlets [...]
What was Harold Camping’s great earthquake today? A 6.1 magnitude quake in the remote, nearly uninhabited Kermadec Islands. [...]
Dateline: May 21, 2011, 11:00 AM.
Prominent Christian preacher Harold Camping is heard every day on on Family Radio, broadcast from coast to coast. According to him, today is the day of the Rapture and Judgment. When the largest earthquake ever known to mankind shakes the ground. When the Earth spits out the bodies [...]
Today’s the day: According to Christian broadcaster Harold Camping, it’s Judgment Day, everybody.
Strange. There’s no earthquake or massive eruption of bodies from the Earth outside my window.
It is kind of foggy, though.
Why worry about your blood cholesterol when you’ve got eternity to contemplate?
Last December, F.G. Fitzer alerted us to the “infallible” biblical predictions of Christian leader Harold Camping that Judgment Day would come on May 21, 2011. That’s three days from now:
We learn from the Bible that Holy God plans to rescue about [...]
Harold Camping says that he has irrefutable evidence that the world will end on October 21, 2001, so don’t even bother thinking about what you’re going to be for Halloween next year. [...]
