Upcoming Liberal Activist EventsEconomic and Anti-War Activism continue into Fall 2011
compiled by Irregular Times
With the United States prosecuting a third war without congressional authorization, anti-war activism continues across the United States at levels that are muted when compared to the mobilization of 2003 -- but that are persistent nonetheless. Idealistic Americans are looking to the MidEast and the example of Tahrir Square, asking when America's moment might be. Will it be on and after the morning of October 6 2011? This page shares updated information on these and other liberal-minded protests popping up across the USA. We can't promise to catch and report on every single protest, but we do pledge to share information about the actions we know of.

The Raytheon Company, which had 2009 sales of $25 billion, is a leading builder and promoter of the missile offense program. Headquartered in Massachusetts, Raytheon has a manufacturing plant in Andover that builds the Patriot (PAC-3) system that is now being used by the Pentagon to help encircle Russia and China. Raytheon is a perfect example of a weapons corporation that spreads its contracts across the nation in order to build Congressional support for endless war.
